EFTPS - Changed Password Online but NOT in QB - HELP!

Hi! I changed our EFTPS password online last week - but forgot to do so in QB. I already paid our weekly federal withholding payment through QB - which is linked to EFTPS so I can see right away when payment comes through. Since QB does not have our updated password, EFTPS does not have record of the payment being made. How do I solve this? THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Re: EFTPS - Changed Password Online but NOT in QB - HELP!

Hello there, OfficeMgr3336.

An incorrect Internet password can be the reason why the EFTPS doesn't have a record of the payment. To correct this, we'll need to void it first so we can update the password.

Here's how:

  1. From the Employees menu, select the Payroll Center.
  2. Go to the Pay Liabilities tab. On the Payment History section, select E-Payments.
  3. Locate and double-click on the payment to cancel/void.
  4. Click the Edit menu and select the Void Liability Check.
  5. Select Save and close.

We can now update your password. You can follow these steps:

  1. On the Pay Liabilities window, click on the View/Pay under the Pay Taxes & Other Liabilities section.
  2. Select the E-payment, and also E-pay.
  3. Uncheck on the Remember My Information for next Time box.
  4. Enter your new PIN and EFTPS Password.
  5. Click Submit.

You're now good to process another EFTPS Payment. For your guide, you can check these helpful articles:
