Join nowWhen I try to import my QB data into Turbotax, it closes my data file and reopens an old data file to import. I can't figure out how to redirect it to the correct data file. Help!

Good information. My core issue was TurboTax would default to an older copy of my QB file regardless what file I had open or where i tried to “hide” the offending file. I was able to save the new file using the old file name, thereby writing over it with updated data. Mission accomplished.
I noticed this only seemed to be an issue with my amended
2020 return. wTT 2021 did not have that problem nor did it seem to be plagued with the multitude of annoying bugs in the prior version.
I can help export data file to TurboTax, @redwingtg1.
To redirect it to the correct data file when importing QuickBooks data into TurboTax, we can reimport updated QuickBooks info by selecting Replace whenever prompted option.
