Filing Prior Year Form 943

I need to resubmit a 943 form to the IRS so that year's earnings will be properly credited to the employees' accounts.  How do I go back several years and resubmit the 943 form?

Filing Prior Year Form 943

Hello there, norokguy.

If you've saved the previous form as PDF, you can open it in QuickBooks. Then, you can print and re-submit it manually.

Let me guide you:

  1. Click the Employees menu, then choose Payroll Center.
  2. Go to the File Forms tab.
  3. Under Filing History, go to Saved Filings.
  4. Look for the Annual Form 943, then click the PDF link.
  5. The PDF window will open, click the Print button.

I've attached screenshots for your reference.

If you haven't saved it, you'll have to download the form from the IRS website. Manually enter the information, then re-submit it.

Here's how you can get the information:

  1. Click the Reports menu, then go to Employees & Payroll.
  2. Go to More Payroll Reports in Excel, then choose Tax Form Worksheets.
  3. Enable/Turn on Macros.
  4. The QuickBooks Tax Worksheets window will pop-up, choose Annual 943.
  5. Enter the dates in the From and To fields, then click Create Report.
