Having trouble paying payroll liabilities

I need topay my payroll liabilities but I keep getting a message saying I have to update my payroll charts first.  I have gone through that several times with QuickBooks saying they are updated but I still get the same message.

Re: Having trouble paying payroll liabilities

Welcome aboard to the QuickBooks family, Mooer.

Thanks for sharing to us the troubleshooting steps you’ve taken to resolve the issue. I can help move past the error, so you can pay the liabilities seamlessly.

Let’s try some new steps to resolve the issue. First, update your QuickBooks to the latest version

to ensure you get the latest enhancement on the software.

I'll guide you on how to accomplish this process:

  1. In your browser, enter this link: https://downloads.quickbooks.com/app/qbdt/products.
  2. In the Download QuickBooks Desktop section, click on the drop-down for Select Product and choose the correct one.
  3. Click on the drop-down for Select Version, then choose the correct year.
  4. Click on Search.
  5. In the Here’s your product section, click on the Get the latest updates link.
  6. Select Save/Save File to download the update.

When the process completes, double-click to install the update. Once done, restart the computer for the changes to take effect.

Now, open the company file and refresh the tax table to get accurate payroll calculation. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Employees at the top menu bar, then select Get Payroll Updates.
  2. Mark the radio-button for Download Entire Update.
  3. Click on the Update button.

You’ll see a window once the download is complete. If you continue to get the same result, I recommend you check your subscription status.

Here’s a link that covers all scenarios possible on how to do this task. I suggest following the steps that fit your current situation.

These steps should get back to business in no time.

If you have any questions or run into hurdles while following the process, please post them here. I’m always right here to assist further. Have a good one!
