How can I upload my Google timeline to find past trips to deduct for mileage tracking?

You can manually import Google timeline history using a CSV file into QuickBooks Solopreneur, orion. The instructions below serve as your personalized navigator to ensure trips are meticulously recorded.

Please note that the feature to directly import Google Timeline trips is only available in QuickBooks Self-Employed. Since you're using QuickBooks Solopreneur, you can manually upload your trip data using a CSV file instead.

Here's how:

  1. Head to Mileage from the left pane.
  2. Select the Add Trip dropdown, then Import trips.
  3. Choose QuickBooks in the Import trips from.
  4. Click Select and import and choose the file to upload from your computer.

Moreover, enhance your financial organization by deciding which category best fits vehicle-related business expenses with this insightful article: Schedule C and expense categories in QuickBooks Solopreneur and QuickBooks Self-Employed. If you're unsure, you can also consult a tax professional for expert advice.
