How do i change my sales tax to cash vs accruing?

I set up my sales tax with the Texas comptroller in quickbooks but I set it up as accruing and I need to change it to cash. How do I do that?

If  you wish to change the accounting method to cash, you may need to change the accounting method used under Account and Settings.

 

To change the accounting method:

 

  1. Go to Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and Settings under Your Company.
  3. Click Advanced at the left pane.
  4. Click the pencil icon in the Accounting section.
  5. Select Cash beside Accounting method.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Click Done.
