Great to have you here in the Community. I'm happy to provide you with information to switch back to the old tax center.
Note: The " Want to permanently switch to the old tax center?" This option is only available for QBO users who have migrated from the manual sales tax feature.
If you have a brand new QuickBooks account with Automated Sales Tax already enabled, you won't be able to see this option.
Please touch base with us here if there's anything else you need, I'm determined to ensure your success.
I have had quickbooks online for over a year I believe and i did not accept the option of the new sales tax automation. It was a forced change that just showed up one day. It is to cumbersome and takes a lot longer and leads to mistakes. please give me the option to go back to the old system that I spent time to set up the way I wanted.
Every year this stuff gets worse not better. I am seriously thinkin about switching out to a different program.

Hello there, @philip14.
We can disable the sales tax in the automated sales tax but we are unable to go back to the old sales tax. I'll pass along your request to our product developers. This way, they'll consider utilizing the new automated sales tax calculation.
You can also visit our QuickBooks Online Blog regularly. From there, you'll be updated with the new features and improvements that our developers are currently working on.

It sure does seem that a lot of users hate the new sales tax feature. I've not seen it, but just by customer response is seems like it must be lacking.
I wonder why Intuit is hell bent on making people use something that they don't like and that, it seems, doesn't work very well.
