How do you switch from automated to manual sales tax collection?
I've been trying to communicate by chat for over 2 hours and on the phone it says that the only option for help is by chat. I changed from QB Desktop to QBO, and the taxes I was handling are not the same, I want to go back to manually enter the taxes, since the automated one is not working for me. I already looked in the previous answers and none of them help me to go back to the manual form, I hope you can help me now.
Currently, all new QuickBooks Online account is set to have the automated sales tax center. You can turn off the automated sales tax by following the steps below. Let me guide you how to do it.
Go to the Taxes menu.
Choose the Sales Tax tab.
Select the Sales Tax Settings on the upper right of the screen.
From the Edit Settings window, click the Turn off sales tax button.
Click Yes to complete the process.
Just a heads-up, once you switch to the new automated sales tax center, the ability to use the old tax center is no longer available. Just make sure to set up your sales tax center properly.
