How often does QuickBooks update SAles, local, city tax rates?

Let me provide some information about how sales tax works in QuickBooks Online (QBO),

jen49.

Once you set up and use the Automated Sales Tax feature, QBO tracks your state’s tax laws to accurately calculate sales tax and returns. Also, it will automatically calculate the total tax rate for each sale based on the following:

  • Your customer’s tax-exempt status
  • Where you sell and where you ship
  • Your service or product’s tax category

If you charge sales tax outside of your state, you have the option to add other tax agencies you pay. For more details about this one, you can check out this article: Learn how QuickBooks Online calculates sales tax.

I've got a link here where you can find articles about managing your sales tax: Pay and manage sales tax in QuickBooks.

Fill me in if you need a hand with running sales tax reports or any QBO related. , I'm determined to ensure your success. Wishing you and your business continued success in all that you do.
