Filing taxes in QuickBooks is pretty straightforward, but the steps can vary a bit depending on whether you’re talking about sales tax, payroll tax, or income tax. If you mean sales tax, go to the Taxes tab in QuickBooks, check your due amounts, and hit File return. Follow the prompts, review the numbers, and submit.
If it’s payroll tax, there’s usually a Payroll Tax Center where you can see what’s due and file directly. For income taxes, QuickBooks doesn’t file federal or state returns itself, but you can export your financials or share them with your accountant.
If you’re new to this, make sure your company info and tax settings are correct before you file. One wrong date or rate can make reconciliation a pain later.
