How can I switch the 1099 wizard to print 1099-NEC in QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions Manufacturing and Wholesale 20.0 edition?

How to print 1099-NEC in QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions

Printing 1099-NEC is so easy to do in QuickBooks, mjhaeg.

 

Once you start tracking contractors for 1099 payments, you can print the 1099-NEC and 1099-Misc in QuickBooks Desktop. Here's how:

 

  1. Create your 1099s in QuickBooks.
  2. Select the Print 1099-NEC or Print 1099-MISC button from the Choose a filing method window.
  3. Specify the date range for the forms, then select OK.
  4. Choose all contractors you want to print 1099s for.
  5. Click Print 1099.
  6. Confirm your printer setting and select Print.

Where is the "choose a filing method window?" I am not seeing this option in Enterprise Solutions at my work.. I do have it in my 2020 regular Desktop version at home. I am told that Enterprise was updated in December. Do you think we are missing an update? Is the option only available to admin users?

How to print 1099-NEC in QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions

Let's perform some troubleshooting steps for you to file the 1099 NEC form, mjhaeg. 

 

QuickBooks Enterprise is the only version that can restrict access to certain areas of a user. You can checkout with the company admin if you have access to filing the 1099 form. To learn more about this one, see the QuickBooks Desktop Users And Restrictions article. 

 

If the Master Admin grants you that access, let's make sure we updated your QuickBooks Desktop to its latest release to synchronize the changes. Then, follow the steps provided by MariaSoledadG to file the 1099 NEC form. If the same thing happens, let's try opening another company file to check if you're having a problem with only one file and not the program itself. Let me show you how:

  1. In your QuickBooks, go to the File menu at the top left.
  2. Choose Close Company.
  3. In the No Company Open window, click the drop-down arrow in the Open a sample file icon.
  4. Choose a sample file and click on it.

If it works, there may be a damaged component on the company file you've been working with. We can repair QuickBooks to resolve the issues with the software.

The top of the 1099 form prints correctly in the form but the second droid not aligned.  
How can the center section. ?

Let me get the help you need in aligning your 1099 form.

  1. Go to the File menu at the top.
  2. Tap Printer Setup.
  3. Tap the Form Name drop-down arrow and choose 1099s/1096.
  4. Hit the Align button and make an adjustment.
  5. Hit OK twice to save the changes.
  6. Click Print 1099
