I'm concerned that income I show in quicken will be added to my 1099 doubling my reported income?

The income shown in QuickBooks shouldn't be added automatically to your 1099, Bill. I have some information to share about this.

Both Quicken and QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) should be used to track your income independently. If you have already recorded your income in Quicken, you don't need to enter them in QBSE. Otherwise, if you prefer to report this income as business revenue QuickBooks, make sure not to enter it in Quicken. This prevents any double-counting of your income.

To give you more information on how to directly file your 1099s, check this out: Get Answers to your 1099 Questions.

Additionally, you can read this article on how to effectively organize your income and expenses: Categorize Transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

If you have any other questions or concerns with 1099 or anything else about your income, reply a comment below. I'm always here happy to assist you further.
