It's great to see you in the Intuit Community,

In QBO, you can record a single sales receipt to report the total daily sales. This can help save time and keep your income reports in order.

To accomplish this, create a customer for daily sales first. You'll only use this one account on the end of day sales receipt.

  1. From the left menu of your company, choose Sales and then pick Customers to create one.
  2. Select New customer in the upper right hand.
  3. When the Customer information page opens, type in Daily Sales and click Save.

Next, set up daily sales accounts to track the transactions. Let’s go to the Chart of Accounts page to make one.

  1. From the Accounting menu on the left panel, pick Chart of Accounts.
  2. Once you see the Chart of Accounts screen, select New at the top right.
  3. In the Account window, enter the following accounts: Daily Sales Income, Clearing Account, and Overage/Underage.

Next, make the items for daily sales and categorize them. For the step by step process, check out this article and proceed directly to Step 3 and continue until Step 6Daily Sales.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I'm here anytime to assist further. Have a great rest of your day.
