I turned off the sales tax and can't turn it back on. Anyone know how? Quickbooks online

Welcome to the Community forum, jaustin52.

Once the sales tax is turned off, we'll have to convert the data from QuickBooks Online (QBO) to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). Then, transfer them back to QBO.

At this time, the system will ask if you want to use either the manual or automated one. It's a way to use either the two features in your book again.

Before doing so, I would recommend visiting here to know about the limitations in converting from QBO to QBDT. Afterwards, you can follow these steps:

  1. You can download a trial to use for this process.
  2. Go to File from the main menu.
  3. Select Close Company.
  4. Leave QuickBooks Desktop open while exploring the data from QBO.

You can use this link as a reference when converting the data from QBO to QBDTLet's ensure not to skip any given steps. Finally, move the files again back to QBO

Just virtually tap me on the shoulder if you have other questions or need further assistance as you go along with the process. I'll be here to help you more. Take care!
