Re: Inactive Taxes still appear on "tax" dropdown

Hello there, @cali_mountain and @jorgenric.

Thanks for reaching out to us here in the Community. I'm here to help fix the issue you're having with the inactive taxes.

Are you referring to an inactivated Sales Tax agency in QuickBooks Online (QBO)? If so, once a sales tax has been inactivated, it would be automatically removed from the tax list. To verify if the issue has something to do with your browser, try logging into your QBO account through the Private browser mode.

Here are the different keyboard shortcuts to open a private browser:

  • Google Chrome: Press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Internet Explorer: Press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Press Command + Shift + N

If it works fine, you can go back to your regular browser and perform clear cache to remove temporary internet files on your computer. Please follow the outlined steps in this article depending on the browser you're using: How do I clear my browser cache and temporary Internet files?

That should do it! But if you're referring to something else, please let me know so I can get back to you right away. I'll be around to provide further assistance. Enjoy the rest of the day.
