IRS 941/944 Make Payment Myself

Need to file IRS Form 941/944. However the company cannot make payment today, but need to file the form anyways. When I go to the Payroll Tax area and select 941/944 for the particular month, I can either select "Pay Electronically" or "Make Payment Myself". Will selecting "Make Payment Myself" e-file the form? Or do I need to file the form manually somewhere else? Thanks.

IRS 941/944 Make Payment Myself

Glad to see you here in the Community, @sdsumaraga.

I'm here to share information about filing forms 941 and 944 in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

In QBO, you'll need to pay your tax liability before filing the 941 and 944 forms so that the amount owed and paid will reflect on the forms. Selecting Make Payment Myself will let you pay the taxes manually and send the payment check to the IRS. This option does not automatically file the 941/944 return directly to the agency.

Please note that we don't automatically file forms on your behalf. When a form is due, you need to log in to your Online Payroll account, and either submit the electronic filing, or view, print, and archive the manual filing.

That's it! Please know that I'm only a post away if I can be of additional assistance. Enjoy the rest of the week!
