Is anyone else experienced issues with the hybrid sales tax ?

We didn't receive any reported issues with hybrid sales tax. In the meantime, let's perform some troubleshooting steps to get this fixed and get you back to working order.

 

Before we start, did you get any error message when accessing the hybrid sales tax? Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.

 

To get started, let's try logging to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser to check if it's a browser data issue. There are times that the browser stores frequently-accessed data, thus causing websites, like QBO, to act weirdly.

 

To use a private browser, here's how:  

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Internet Explorer: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Option + N

If this works, it means that you need to clear your browser's cache so the system can start fresh.

 

If you get the same result while using a private browser, I'd suggest using a different one.

Is anyone else experienced issues with the hybrid sales tax ?

I'm having issues with the sales tax as well and it's unfortunate how I can't get any live help! I used to run the 'Sales Details report' and be able to see all the customer payments totals including the 'tax code' for each city's tax to pay monthly. Now, the report seems to have issues, there's no way to organize/sort the report per customer, it keeps automatically categorizing it by 'product/service' type, which is a big mess and gives me no way to actually know what needs to be paid out.. Also, the 'tax name' is either showing up as an odd code 'c099b64c91d9caa3e48b7c795dd17d11f7ba7147e80429df69257b1da8959040' or as the 'city name' (example: WA-Mill Creek, WA-Kenmore, WA-Seattle) - I can't match the the Dept of Rev city codes... this report is due in a couple days.. I was hoping to either get it figured out on my own or QB would fix this obvious issue... I don't know how else I can get this on time to DOR unless I manually go over every client and enter their address in to figure out their codes (hours of work with toddlers around due to COVID)..  this needs a FIX asap, as this is a monthly report I use and it's now not working properly or doing what it's supposed to!

Though cache is a component that boosts browser's background processes, it can also cause issues when piled up. The browser troubleshooting steps provided by Mark_R could fix the problem.
