Lost Sales Tax Payments when moving from QBO to Desktop

After buying and installing Quickbooks Pro Desktop, I completed the file conversion process.   Much of the data transferred without issue, however, all of my Sales Tax Payments for 10 years were removed.  In talking with support they said this is a known issue.  Is there a way to recover these payments in Desktop after conversion?    Many years and payments, which would take a long time to try to add manually.   Thanks

Lost Sales Tax Payments when moving from QBO to Desktop

Hi there, @Fourward

Thank you for taking the time posting in the Community. I'd be happy to help share some information about exporting sales tax payments in QuickBooks Desktop from QuickBooks Online.

As what our support agent shared, sales tax payments are not included when exporting list, and transaction data from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop. In the meantime, you can record the transactions manually, or integrate a third party app that'll allow you to import them. There are a lot of different options in there, so you may find one that works for you.

Also, I will let our Product Development Team know about your suggestion to add this feature. We take our customer ideas into consideration when looking for product improvements.

You can also share your thoughts and suggestions to our product development team for future updates. Just click the the Help menu then select Send Feedback Online.

Feel free to hit the Reply button if you have any other questions about exporting and importing transactions in QuickBooks.  I'll be happy to help you further.
