Re: My DE9 and DE9C aren't in file forms anymore...Where do I find them?

Hi there, @jdempsey805,

I can help you generate your California DE9 and DE9C forms in QuickBooks Desktop.

To access your state reports for viewing or filing, please make sure you meet the following requirements

Once you meet the requisites, you can now generate your state forms. To locate and process your reports, you can go ahead and follow these steps below:

  1. Go to the Employees tab and select Payroll Tax Forms & W-2's.
  2. Choose Process Payroll Forms.
  3. If you're not seeing any reports active, click the Forms drop-down and select Make a New Form Active.
  4. On the State drop-down, choose CA and click Add Form.
  5. On the File Forms window, scroll down and look for CA forms. (Please see screenshot.)
  6. Double-click to open the forms.
  7. Choose the correct period and click OK.
  8. Review the report by clicking the Check for Errors button.
  9. Once done, click on Save as PDF or Print for Your Records.
