My sales tax menu is empty

I've had the same issue for almost a month and a half know. I've been on the phone with Quickbooks Online Support multiple times, where they tell you the usual "our engineers are working on it" lies. My sales tax menu is simply empty after being forced to switch to the new sales tax menu, and I cannot record payments I've made to my tax agency.

To check if the browser is already full of frequently accessed page resources (cache and cookies), try signing into your QuickBooks Online (QBO) using a private browser (incognito).


Here's how:


  • Press Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox).
  • Control Option (Safari).


Once logged in, go back to the Sales menu to double-check.


If it shows, return to your default browser and perform a clear cache to refresh the system. However, if the issue persists, try using other supported browsers.

This didn't work. I tried both one of the supported browsers (Chrome) and using incognito mode, none of which worked.


It just looks like this:

There, they can securely check your account and investigate further on why the Sales tax menu in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account is empty. To reach out to them, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the (?) Help menu.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Enter a brief discussion of your concern and select Let’s talk.
  4. Choose either Message an agent (if you preferred chat) or Get a callback.

Hi Manducho - did they ever fix this? My QB account just started doing the same thing, so if you have a fix, please let me know. I've been on the phone with support and got the "we're fixing this and we'll get back to you" feedback.
