I have the Oregon Statewide Transit tax set up in payroll items, but when I added an employee it doesn't show up in the other taxes tab so I can add it to her payroll taxes.  It shows up on all the other employees, just not on the new one.  What am I doing wrong?  Any suggestions?

Thank you for joining the Community. I'm here to help share some steps to ensure you set up the Oregon Statewide Transit Tax item to the new employee.


To start, let's make sure that the tax table you're using is updated to the latest release. After that, let's try to add the Oregon Statewide Transit Tax in the Payroll Setup.


Here's how:

  1. Go to the Employees menu then select Payroll Setup.
  2. On the left pane, select Employee Setup then click Employee List.
  3. Double-click the name of the employee.
  4. Click Next until you reach the Enter state tax information for window.
  5. Put a check-mark in the Subject to OR - Statewide Transit Tax Emp. box. 
  6. Click Next until you can click Finish.


After that, let's check the employee's profile to verify if the item is already added. 


Here's how:

  1. Go to the Employees menu and select Employee Center.
  2. Double-click on the employee name.
  3. Click the Payroll Info tab.
  4. Click the Taxes button.
  5. Go to the Other tab.
  6. You should now see the item labeled as OR - Statewide Transit Tax Emp.

Here's how:

  1. Go to
  2. At the top right, select your Payroll Subscription type.
  3. Click Payroll.
  4. Click on the View Contact Info button to get their contact number.

That should get you back on track.
