Printing 1099s

I cannot get my 1099's to align when I print them out.  When I print out a set of 1099's, the top 1099 on the page is aligned but the bottom 1099 is too high.  If I change the alignment so that the bottom 1099 prints in the right place, the top 1099 prints too low.  I have also tried changing the scale from 100% to a different number to bet the bottom to fit, but I have similar issues when trying that.

I am using the 1099 forms I ordered through Intuit/Quickbooks, so I was expecting these to line up with no problem.

If anyone has ideas to help me solve this problem, I would appreciate it.

Re: Printing 1099s

I was able to solve the problem via a combination of changing scale  and adjusting the alignment to shift the printing upwards.  Neither of things worked in isolation, but the combination worked.

A scale increase to 104% in the printer dialog box got enough spread between the top and bottom to match the spread on the form.  This put both top and bottom off alignment, so it also required the alignment shift (Y=10) in the printer dialog box to get the printed sections up high enough on the form to fit the appropriate boxes.

I am not sure what configuration was off (perhaps the printer, perhaps the document software), but this change (found via trial and error) did the trick.

Re: Printing 1099s

Glad you got it working. We test with actual 1099 forms and it was spot on for the various printers we tried.  Not sure why it wasn't working with your printer.
