Printing w2s if my payroll account is not active

my business closed Oct. 2017. I have all of my last payroll information saved in quickbooks but my payroll account is not longer active. Can I still print w2s?

Hi kelsey28,

 

You'll need to reactivate your payroll subscription for the Year-End filing. 

 

To reactivate, please follow these:

  1. In your Dashboard, click on the To Do link.
  2. Select File year-end forms and taxes.
  3. Select Yes to confirm reactivation.

If you can't see this option, you can do it in the Billing & Subscription setting.

I am having a related issue.   I have full service payroll active.  Started using QBOnline in October 2018.  When I go to the Taxes, Forms section, there is not an option for W2 forms.   Any suggestions?

To get the W-2 form in your QuickBooks Online Full Service, please get in touch with our Phone Support Specialists. They can pull up your account and check this further.

I contacted QB and was told that W2s would be mailed to employees and if I used eFile, the 1099s would be mailed to contractors.  We are coming up on the deadline and no one has received anything.  I need help!

 

Also, my FUTA is not paid yet and that is due January 31st.  Can I please have a way to call you on Monday Jan 28th?

For all Full Service Payroll subscribers, payroll tax forms and payments are being taken care of by our payroll team. Since we can't check the status of the forms here in the Community, I encourage reaching out to them. They can check if the forms were already submitted to the tax agencies and mailed to the employees and contractors.
