Buy nowQBO has recently started adding sales tax to almost all invoices whether or not they are taxable items. Items are correctly categorized as nontaxable and the Tax checkbox is NOT marked (screenshot attached). I have to click on the "See the math" link, then click "Enter sales tax manually", then "Revert to automatic calculation" to get the sales tax removed. But then when I go to "Receive payment" the sales tax will reappear on the invoice. I'm having to double/triple check all invoices and payments throughout the day.
Hey there, @WinginIT. I appreciate the screenshot you shared to help explain your issue. I'll direct you to the best help for this.
I recommend contacting the QuickBooks Online (QBO) Live Support team to further assist in checking your account in a safe environment regarding why your non-taxable items show an automatic sales tax when you create an invoice. Then, provide you with a fix.
