Quickbooks and shopify

We recently converted to QBO, and are having an issue with Sales Tax.  We sell on Walmart and Ebay which integrates into Shopify, from Shopify OneSaas imports into QBO.  The issue we have is the third party facilitators charge, collect and pay the Sales Tax however Shopify & QBO want to report in in QBO as a Sales Tax Payable on our books.  Does any know how to stop the Sales Taxes from importing into QBO?

Please help, very frustrating.

Quickbooks and shopify

Good afternoon, @LAS2040.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community for support. I understand how frustrating it can be when importing doesn't go exactly as planned. Rest assured, I've taken note of your frustrations and will work to find a solution for you.

At this time, when importing from Shopify, the import will come over exactly as is. Meaning, how you have them entered currently in Shopify is how they will be set up in QuickBooks. However, one solution you can check into would be to edit the imported items once they've imported into QuickBooks.

I do see how important this is for you and your business. I recommend reaching out to the Shopify team to see if they can submit a feedback request to their development team, so this could be considered in a future update.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I'm always around to lend a helping hand. Take care, and feel free to reach out to the Community at any time!

You should compare the data flow with other connectors. You may explore TaxJar to calculate and record your sales tax data and Synder to reconcile transactions into your QBO.
