Quickbooks Screwed up my IRS Tax Payment

I received a notice from the IRS of interest and penalties due in the amount for HUNDREDS of dollars. As a small business owner who has taken the time to set up my account for automatic payment, this is not ok... The letter states that QBO paid my taxes in May and in July LATE and they have accessed interest and penalties on the late filing. My accountant said that he's had other issues with QBO automatic payments and filings through them and
typically do not recommend that process. Has anyone else experienced this?! Why are they holding the funds this late? Will QBO support this and pay the penalty!? HELP!

Quickbooks Screwed up my IRS Tax Payment

Hi, Jessica. As a business owner, issues involving taxes, especially late payments and penalties, can be alarming. I want to assure you we take these matters seriously and are here to support you.

Since you've already received a notice from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Payroll Live Support team directly. They can review your account to clarify the reasons for the late payment processing and discuss the possibility of reimbursement if it is warranted.

  1. Go to the Help icon, then select the Assistance tab.
  2. In the box provided, briefly describe your issue or type Contact Support.
  3. Choose either Chat or Callback for help.

Quickbooks Screwed up my IRS Tax Payment

Unbelievable!  Now they are trying to FORCE every QBO user to sign up for Automated Payroll Tax Payments and withdrawals starting July 1st!  They want to steal our money and use it for their own financial gain so now we have to hire our accountant to process our weekly payroll.  As of July 1st we will be dropping payroll elite.  I am hoping we can find another payroll app that we can integrate with QBO instead of hiring our accountant to do payroll but at least we have that option.  They are going to cost businesses thousands of dollars due to late payments!  I filed a complaint with the BBB and I have also reached out to the Attorney General in my state.
