Doing payroll while still waiting for State witholding taxID
Using assisted payroll. Just hired a new employee this month..she's the first and only employee in IA. I applied for an IA state witholding ID number, but they say I will receive it via snail mail in 4-6 weeks. I need to do Dec payroll for this employee in a couple of days. How do I handle this? How do I setup the payroll items for Witholding and UI insurance when I don't have the ID #s yet?
