We were desperate for a fix because the automated center had incorrect sales tax rates for our county in Florida. Eventually when a tax professional was unable to help we disabled the service. The manual is not as good and I would like to give the automated a try again. Can you please tell me now to do this? Hopefully there have been updates and I can close the correct rate.
Thanks for the detailed information about your concern. I’d like to share some insight regarding the Automated Sales Tax.
Once you disable the feature either by switching to Manual Sales Tax or calling phone support, re-enabling it is currently unavailable. Check out the bottom section of this article for more information: Switch to US Automated Sales Tax.
You may look for a 3rd party app that works the same way as the Automated Sales Tax. Simply head to the QuickBooks App Center and search for a keyword like Automated Sales Tax calculation to get started.
In the meantime, you have to manually enter or change the tax amount calculated in a sales transaction. Refer to this article to learn more: Enter the sales tax amount manually.
That should do it for now. Let me know how it goes, I’m always here to help. Take care!
