I have used the QB 1099 service for the first time. The filing date for my 1099s was 1/14/24. The Recipient's copy column says mailed.
One of the 1099s is coming to my home. It has not arrived. Have they really been mailed?
Thanks.

Hi,
Intuit doesn’t provide a direct phone number or email for support right off the bat - they've streamlined everything through their Help menu in QuickBooks Online to ensure you get to the right team.
Here’s how you can contact QBO support directly:
1. In QuickBooks Online log in to your QBO account.
2. Click on the Help (?) icon in the top-right corner.
3. In the Help menu, select Contact Us at the bottom.
4. Type in your issue or question and click Let’s Talk.
5. From there, you can choose to start a live chat or request a callback.
If the 1099s show as "Mailed" in QuickBooks, it generally means they’ve been sent out by the QuickBooks 1099 E-File Service. However, since mailing times can vary, it’s understandable to want confirmation.
Here’s what you can do to check:
1. Double-check the status of your 1099 forms. If it says Mailed, Intuit has processed and sent the forms to recipients. This process usually includes USPS first-class mailing, which can take 7–10 business days.
2. If you filed on 1/14/24, the forms were likely mailed within a few business days. If your form hasn’t arrived yet, it might still be in transit depending on your location and USPS processing times.
3. If you’re concerned or need confirmation, reach out to QuickBooks support. They can check their system to confirm when the 1099s were mailed and provide additional details if needed.
4. If you’re expecting one of the 1099s at your address and it hasn’t arrived, you can download a copy of the recipient’s form directly from QuickBooks. Go to Expenses -> Vendors -> Prepare 1099s and look for the View/Print option for the recipient’s copy.
While delays aren’t uncommon with USPS, you should receive your copy soon. If it still doesn’t arrive within a reasonable timeframe, consider re-sending or downloading the electronic version as a backup.
Let me know if it solved your issue.
Thank you Gilbert. I am a new online subscriber. It has been a little mysterious how one actually reaches QBO support (aside from these community forums or paid experts.) Is there a number or email address to call?
Let me elaborate on when contractors received their 1099s, danno2.
With QuickBooks Online (QBO), the program usually mails 1099 forms to contractors after January 31st, as this is the deadline set by the IRS for sending these forms. This happens as QuickBooks may require some time to process the information to guarantee accuracy before dispatching them.
Also, the Mailed status on these forms indicates that they have been prepared for delivery to your recipients. Thus, it involves sending them via USPS first-class mail, which may take a few days to reach them after filing.
If they don't receive their forms within seven (7) business days after the said date, you can print their copies within your account and manually email them their 1099s. Here's how:
You can also contact our Live Expert Team for the most precise details on when the emails containing the 1099 forms will be sent to your contractors.

HAHA. It would be great if, when viewing the info from qboa, we were seeing corresponding information, which we are not. When viewing "1099 filings" page it shows mailed on some of my clients, but not all. However, when clicking through the "Prepare 1099s" process after filing and clicking on the "Preview your finished forms", each client who I filed for shows "mailed".
Unfortunately, I am only allowed one attachment.

You're welcome, glad if I could help you!
I haven't seen any exact phone numbers or email addresses and have always contacted them through the forms on the website. It seems that in QB communication with support is carried out only this way, probably due to the specifics of the product.
There is only a phone number in the header of the site, but it is unlikely to be for support. In any case, you can try calling and they can transfer you in the right direction.
I am seeing in my QBO in the 1099 section that it says emailed and mailed to all of my recipients. I am one of the recipients, and I have not received my 1099 via email. How long should it be before I get it? It says it was done on 1/28/2025. I have checked my email, trash, junk, etc. Cannot locate. Who should be showing as the "sender" of this email?
Thank you.
Thanks for getting involved with this thread, TrixieT. I appreciate your detailed information.
After filing 1099s through QuickBooks, Intuit may email or mail a printed copy to your contractors. If you're not receiving emails from QuickBooks, there's some troubleshooting processes you'll want to perform.
Since you've already checked your inbox, junk/spam, and trash folders, I'd recommend checking if you recently imported QuickBooks Desktop data into the QuickBooks Online company. If so, you may need to reset your email address.
Here's how:
If you're still not receiving emails from Intuit, you'll want to configure your server to accept QuickBooks mail server host names and IP addresses. You can learn how by reviewing Solution 3 in our Troubleshoot if customers aren't receiving emails article. These steps can be shared with contractors as well, if they're not receiving their emails.
In the event your email continues not showing up in the inbox, junk/spam, or trash folders, you'll want to get in touch with our Customer Care team and request for it to be re-sent to your email. They'll be able to pull up the account in a secure environment, conduct further research with you, and go over your options.
I've also included a couple detailed resources about working with 1099s which may come in handy moving forward:
Please don't hesitate to send a reply if there's any additional questions. Have an awesome Thursday!
Hi Trixie,
I don't know if the same thing happens with email as with snail mail but this may relate -
There is a "disconnect" between what the 1099 screens say and when things actually happen. (It would be great if Intuit fixed that.)
My 1099 screen said each 1099 had been "mailed" in early mid-January. That wasn't really true. They were eventually mailed but the screen implied they had been before they really were.
Perhaps your emails are going out later too, closer to 1/31.
