Sales tax liability report is incorrectly showing taxable sales as non taxable.

The sales tax liability report is incorrectly showing taxable sales as non taxable.  I have confirmed that the invoices in question charged the correct tax.  How do I correct this in QB?

Re: Sales tax liability report is incorrectly showing taxable sales as non taxable.

Hello there, NFI.

I'm glad to see you dropping by here in the Community. Let me help you correct the affected transactions to show correctly in the QuickBooks reports.

Since you've already checked the transactions in question and the taxes are correct, the invoices may be damaged. You can run the Verify and Rebuild Data feature to resolve any data issues within the company file.

To run Verify Data, you can follow these steps:

  1. Click the File tab at the top menu bar.
  2. Go to Utilities.
  3. Click Verify Data.

Once done, please proceed with running Rebuild Data:

  1. Click the File tab at the top menu bar.
  2. Go to Utilities.
  3. Click Rebuild Data.

For future reference, I suggest bookmarking the article I'm adding below:

Please don't hesitate to get back to me if you need further help correcting the report issue. I'm always up to lend a hand.
