Sales Tax Liability Report: Dividing up non-taxable items

The windows version of QuickBooks split up non-taxable sales by out-of-state customer, other non-taxable items, resale, etc. I can't find that the Mac version does this. My state sales tax reports requires I show non-taxable sales by interstate commerce, resale or other non-taxable amounts. How do I figure this when the Mac version doesn't offer those designations?

Re: Sales Tax Liability Report: Dividing up non-taxable items

Thanks for reaching out to the Community, barHphoto.

Let me share some insights about the Sales Tax Liability report in QuickBooks for Mac.

This report shows your total taxable sales, total non-taxable sales, and the amount of sales tax you owe each tax agency. However, we are unable to include the out of state taxes in the Sales Tax Liability report in QuickBooks for Mac. You're right that this is only available in the Windows version.

I'll definitely pass along your experience. Our engineers make improvements in QuickBooks for Mac by listening to our customers' suggestions and comments.

Thanks a lot for raising this concern. I'd appreciate if you can update me on how it goes. I'll be here if there's anything else you need. I'm cheering you to continued prosperity.

Re: Sales Tax Liability Report: Dividing up non-taxable items

So I have to figure my sales tax items breakdown manually. Which sort of defeats the value of QuickBooks to automate my bookkeeping. Not cool. No cheer. Needs fixed. The Windows version was so much better than this Mac version!
