Sales Tax Liability Report in Cash Basis Mac Desktop

I need Sales Tax Liability report in cash basis on my QB Desktop for Mac. The report doesn't say cash or accrual on it when I run it. The Options Icon doesn't give any choice about the report basis. Any idea how to know the report basis? It seems to be pulling some liability from an invoice that has not been paid yet. That invoice does include some negative amounts and I think that might be what is causing the issue. Any help on that?

Thanks for joining the Community, Titus.

I can help you change the accounting method to cash basis for theSales Tax Liability report.

After clicking the Options button at the top, the Report Basis should be located between Report Dates and Columns (refer to the first screenshot). Since it's not showing on your end, you can change it in the Preferences screen.

Let me show you how:

  1. Select QuickBooks at the top, then choose Preferences.
  2. Click Sales Tax or Reporting (refer to the second screenshot).

That information should get you on the right track. Please reach out to me if there is anything else I can help you with. I'll always be here to assist you. Have a good day.
