Sales Tax rate inactivated in error

I am very new to using QBO, so I am stumbling around trying to figure out how to use the program.

I have run into a problem that I cannot figure out.  I deactivated a sales tax rate in error and am now trying to reactivate.  I don't know if there are QBO versions to refer to because I cannot seem to find anything within my program, if might be of some help to you to know that I downloaded QBO on Tuesday so I am assuming I have the most current version.

I have searched through the Community and see a couple of responses from people on how to do this however, I seem to have a different QBO version because I don't seem to have some of the features that are included in the instructions.  For example, trying to follow the suggestion below, I do not have a Sales Tax setting link. I have no small Settings icon and I have no Make Active link.  Can someone help me proceed with how to reactivate the sales tax rate entry?

Here is what I found but cannot carry out:

In reactivating sales tax in QBO, you'll simply put a check mark the Include inactive box in the Edit settings page. Here's how:

  1. From the Taxes tab, select Sales Tax.
  2. Click the Sales tax settings link.
  3. Click the small Settings icon.
  4. Tick the Include inactive box.
  5. Click the Make active link.

Sales Tax rate inactivated in error

Hello there, nosteele. I appreciate you for including a screenshot. It helps a lot.

I've figured out that you're using manual sales tax in QuickBooks Online. The steps shared above will work when you're using an Automated Sales Tax.

For this platform, below are the steps to follow. This helps you include the tax rate you've deactivated in error. Then, make them inactive again. Here's how:

  1. Go to Taxes on the left panel.
  2. Within the Sales Tax tab,
  3. Under Related Tasks, click on the Add/edit tax rates and agencies.
  4. Click on the Tax rate and click the Edit button.
  5. An Edit Sales Tax Rate window will appear. From there, you can edit the Tax nameRate, and activate it.
  6. Click the Save button once you're done.

Thank you for your assistance.  I still cannot follow the directions being provided because what I see on my screen does not follow the instructions.

Here is what I see when I click on the Taxes tab on the left.  I do not see Steps 2 or any of the other steps after Steps 2
