Truck Driver repair expenses/deductions

I own a semi truck. I started QB self-employed last year. Since the truck is the business, all of my repairs are tax deductible.  But when my quarterly taxes were figured up, QB did not recognize the repairs as deductions. I had to go in and manually move all those transactions to "other business expenses" to get an accurate estimated quarterly tax payment.

Is there a way to make ''Vehicle Repairs" automatically count as deductions.   Or is their a way to specifically set up QB self-employed that is optimal for owner/operator truck drivers?  It's just me ant the truck. I don't have any other trucks or employees.

Let me give you an overview on how QBSE tracks vehicle expenses, petroldog

Repair expenses in QuickBooks Self-Employed are considered as actual expenses and are not deductible. This is because the system is following the standard deduction.

You can refer to these articles for more details:

Since we can't give direct accounting options, it would still be best to consult an accountant. They can give you more ways to track these expenses for easy filing to the agency.
