Trying to do my taxes and my transactions won't load.

I've been trying all night to do my taxes; I've used quickbooks the last few years and REALLY want to find an alternative because of stuff like this but here we are. My bank transactions just won't show me anything past November 2024. Quickbooks also won't allow me to unlink & relink my bank account. When I tried to reach out to customer service through the chat box, they said that help wasn't available. Please help.

After this tax season I'm 100% done with this platform. Quickbooks makes it hard to do literally anything on here, yet jacks up the price every few months.

Trying to do my taxes and my transactions won't load.

We understand how hard it is to have such a tough time with QuickBooks, especially when trying to get your taxes done. It must be incredibly frustrating to spend all night working on this, only to run into issues with your bank transactions not loading and not getting the customer support you need, earthtokb.

We appreciate you providing us with a screenshot of your concern so that we can better isolate this issue. To start, which bank are you trying to link? Knowing this information will be crucial in providing you with a tailored solution.

In the meantime, you may check your financial institution's website for any notifications or alerts regarding ongoing maintenance that may prevent you from linking your bank. Here's how:

  1. Go to your bank or credit card's website.
  2. Note: If you're not sure what URL to use, find it by going to Bank transactions (Take me there), then select Link account. Search for your bank, select it, and copy the listed URL.
  3. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website.
  4. If you can sign in, it's a good sign that there isn't a major issue. Next, on your bank's website:
  5. Check your account for messages, notifications, or alerts.
  6. Look for any display issues as you navigate the website. These can block QuickBooks from downloading new transactions.
  7. Check your bank’s website for any announcements about new security requirements.

If everything looks good, log in to QuickBooks and go to Transactions. Then click Bank transactions and press Update.

If you've verified everything on your bank's end and the issue remains, we recommend accessing your account through an incognito window. This helps rule out any potential webpage issues. Here are the shortcut keys for opening an incognito window in various supported browsers:

  • Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

After starting a new private browsing session, please log into your QuickBooks Solopreneur account and check if this resolves the connectivity problem. If it does, clearing your browser's cache will help the program run smoothly and eliminate technical issues. You can also try using other devices and supported browsers as alternatives.

If the problem persists, we recommend manually uploading transactions into your account to download bank transactions past 90 days. Then, please contact our Customer Support Team. They'll pull up your account in a secure environment and help you with your banking connectivity issue.

Moreover, I'll share this valuable resource to learn more about the program and its features: Introduction to QuickBooks Solopreneur.
