W-2 There are no forms in this category.

In my "Payroll Taxes" section I can view 2017 archived forms but when I click on annual  forms to print 2018 w-2's it says "There are no forms in this category". Please help, gotta get these out asap!

I'm here to help make sure that you can view and print W-2 forms in QuickBooks Online (QBO).


I checked if there's an ongoing issue about this but there isn't currently one. To isolate this, try logging into your QBO account using a different or a private browser. There are times that the browser is full of frequently-accessed page resources, thus causing some errors and/or unusual responses. To use a private browser, here's how:


  • On your keyboard, press Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox or Internet Explorer).
  • Control + Option + P (Safari).


Once logged in, go back to the Payroll Tax Center and click the Annual Forms again to double-check. If it'll work, return to your default browser and perform clear cache to remove temporary internet files on your computer.

Hi Fritz, I tried in incognito mode, I also tried from a different computer. It still says that there are no forms available. It also says the same thing for ANY of the form links i click on. Only archived forms are available from 2017.

Since you're still unable to pull up the forms, I highly suggest reaching out to Payroll Support this time. They have tools such as screen-sharing that can check your account and further investigate this issue in a secure environment.


Here's how to reach them:


1. Go to
2. Select your Payroll Subscription type.
3. Choose a topic.
4. Click on the View Contact Info button to get their most update contact number.​​
