Why is my state taxes amount not lining up!? The % is correct in quickbooks but when I go to file for state I end up paying more than what is show on the report!

The math if off somewhere in QB. I've called several times and even with a custom % rate at the end of the month the calculation is still wrong!

I understand this situation may have caused inconvenience, and I want to assure you that we are dedicated to promptly resolving the sales tax discrepancies in QuickBooks, Asap Battery.

You may occasionally see penny differences in the amounts shown on payroll reports and tax forms. As sales tax in QuickBooks might automatically round up or down based on the amount detailed in the invoice or sales receipt. When QuickBooks does the math, the amount is off by a few decimal points. Meaning it rounds up or down to the nearest cent.

For insights into these rounding differences in your paycheck or tax calculations, please visit this article: Why do I occasionally notice penny rounding differences?

Should the rounding adjust to a whole dollar amount, I recommend reaching out to our Live Support team. I know you've called several times, they have specialized tools and insights to assist and resolve these discrepancies.
