tried logging out of both the app and online and logging back into both. Still nothing. I have reviewed and saved the receipt on the app. In addition, the app is not showing my categories which I have set up but only the generic ones.
I think I may have found the problem. I have downloaded the app and logged in using my QB account but have only just noticed that the app is not free to use for account holders but is an additional subscription which I assume is why it is not syncing.
Not sure I want to pay an additional subscription just for scanning receipts. Is there a free to use alternative?

I can but I can see that nothing else has synced either. Although I have used the same log in details, the two are simply not linked in any way. Is it maybe because I only use quickbooks essentials??

Ah, if you have a QuickBooks Essentials account, you need to download the QuickBooks Accounting & Invoicing app - not the Self Employed app - this links to the self employed product.

However, am I right in thinking this app does not scan and upload expense receipts?? :( that is the main feature I want. Is there an alternative third party app by any chance?

really sorry to be a pain but I have now downloaded and linked the correct app and entered an expense with a photo of the receipt. The expense showed up immediately in QB on line which is great but the attachment - i.e. the photo of the receipt - is only showing on the app. Is there a way to attach it in the online version??

Again, this should automatically sync. Have you fully opened the expense transaction? The attachment should be at the very bottom of the transaction, after scrolling.
