Message your accountant from Intuit Intelligence in QuickBooks
by Intuit• Updated 3 weeks ago
Learn how to connect with your accountant directly from an Intuit Intelligence conversation.
When you ask Intuit Intelligence something that needs your accountant's expertise, like a tax question specific to your business, you can send them a message directly from the conversation. You won't need to re-explain your question elsewhere.
| Note: This feature is currently in beta. That means it's still being tested and refined, so you might notice some things change as we improve it. |
How accountant messaging works
- If your question is best suited to your accountant, for example, a tax treatment question, Intuit Intelligence will suggest reaching out to them.
- You can choose to message your accountant directly from the same conversation.
- Intuit Intelligence creates a summary message based on your conversation. You can review and edit it before sending. Your accountant receives only the message you send, not your full chat history.
- This suggestion is optional. You can choose not to send anything to your accountant, and continue the conversation with Intuit Intelligence instead.
Send a message to your accountant
- Ask Intuit Intelligence your question as you normally would.
Tip: Select the Intuit Intelligence icon
to open the chat panel. - If the topic is one your accountant is better placed to answer, Intuit Intelligence will offer to connect you.
- Select Message my accountant. Intuit Intelligence creates a summary message based on your conversation.
- Review the summary and edit it if needed.
- Send the message. It lands in the Collab Hub, where both you and your accountant can see it under Requests.
If you don't have an accountant connected
If you don't have an accountant invited to your QuickBooks company, you won't see the option to message an accountant at all. Intuit Intelligence only offers this option to customers with an accountant connected.
Other ways to connect with support
Separately from messaging your accountant, Intuit Intelligence may also offer to connect you with an Intuit expert for QuickBooks how-to questions, via chat, callback, or scheduled call.
