Convert a quote into an invoice in QuickBooks Online

SOLVEDby QuickBooksQuickBooks Online17Updated May 06, 2021

After a customer accepts your quote, you can easily turn it into an invoice. If you only want to request partial payments, send your customer a progress invoice instead.

Convert a quote into an invoice

  1. Go to the Sales menu and select All Sales.
  2. Find and open the quote.
  3. Select Create invoice.
  4. Add more details to the invoice as necessary, then select Save and close.
  • You can only invoice a quote with Accepted or Pending status. To update the status of the quote, select the drop-down under the customer name.
  • Quotes imported from QuickBooks Desktop show as Closed in QuickBooks Online.

Now you're able to convert a quote into an invoice.
