Before we start, may I know which page you sort your invoices? Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.
If you're referring to the Invoices page, you'll want to ensure you add a column for the custom field and click it to sort it out.
If you still won't be able to sort it out, let's perform some troubleshooting steps. It's possible that the browser you're using had a data issue, thus causing QuickBooks to act weirdly. To verify, let's log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser. To do so, press this shortcut key on your keyboard:
If this works, you need to clear the browser's cache so the system can start fresh. If you get the same result while using a private browser, I suggest switching to a different one.
