I DELETED ONE OF MY CLIENT COMPANIES BY MISTAKE. CAN IT BE RECOVERED?
Restoring company data directly isn't possible within QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA), Jotaxacc. Let's discuss some alternative solutions.
To begin with, may I ask a few clarifying questions? Are you referring to accidentally deleting the client’s profile within your QuickBooks Online Accountant account, or you have been deleted the entire company file?
If you’re referring to accidentally deleting a client's profile from your dashboard, it's important to note that this action merely removes your access to the client's company file. It does not delete the actual company data from QuickBooks. The client’s company file still exists, and the client can re-invite you as an accountant in QBO.
However, if you mean the entire company file, please note that QuickBooks Online does not provide a direct way to restore the company data once it has been deleted. That said, if you have backup data available, you can import your lists and transactions back into QuickBooks Online.
You could also consider manually uploading transactions into QBO as a workaround.
Lastly, I'd like to share this helpful resource that can guide you in generating and customizing reports in QBO to gain deeper insights into your finances: Manage and share custom reports in QuickBooks Online Accountant.
