Getting error code 108. I bank with FNB in South Africa.

The Bank error 108 means there's a message from your bank or credit card on their website, such as updates that can block the connection to QuickBooks. We can isolate the issue by Reviewing the message on your bank website and then updating your bank connections in QuickBooks. I'll show you the steps below.

 

To review the message:

 

  1. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website.
  2. Check for any updates, messages, or notifications.
  3. The message should give you specific steps if you need to take any action.

 

Then, to update your bank connection:

 

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Go to Bookkeeping, select Transactions, then select Bank Transactions.
  3. Select Update.

 

I recommend contacting your bank if you didn't see notifications on your bank's website and still see the error. You may not be able to see certain types of messages that can cause error 108.
