Hello mike239,

Currently, we don't have an asset account that automatically tracks fixed assets. However, we can create one. Here's how to do it:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Click New and select Fixed Assets in the Account Type field.
  3. Select the Detail Type that describes the asset.
  4. Enter the other details of the account and click Save and Close.

You can use this link for reference: Set up an asset account in QuickBooks Online.

Also, this additional article might be a help regarding the depreciation of assets: Depreciate assets in QuickBooks Online.

Know that this is how we track in QuickBooks Online. You might also want to consult your accountant to see if they can provide other options. They know what's best for you and your books.
