Create a desktop shortcut for QuickBooks Online

SOLVEDby QuickBooks12Updated January 23, 2024

You can add a QuickBooks Online shortcut or icon to your desktop in just a few steps. These steps work for all browsers, whether you use a Windows PC or Mac.

Add a QuickBooks Online shortcut to your desktop

  1. Close or minimise any open windows.
  2. Open the browser you normally use QuickBooks Online with.
Note: Make sure you have it on window mode, so you could still see your desktop screen.
  3. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  4. From the address bar, drag and drop the View site information icon (beside the web address) onto your desktop screen.
Note: You may see a lock lock icon_QBO_US_Ext_121322.PNG icon depending on the browser you use.

You can now use the shortcut you created to open QuickBooks Online from your desktop screen.
