Can I re-instate a transaction that I have excluded on my bank account?

Yes, Sanet.  You can recover a transaction you've previously excluded in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Let me guide you through the process.

You can view your excluded transactions in the Exclude tab under the Bank transactions menu.

Here's how you can do it:

  1. Navigate to the Transactions menu.
  2. Select the Bank transactions and then select the specific bank account.
  3. Click on the Excluded tab to view transactions you've previously excluded.

  4. Find the transaction you want to recover.
  5. Check the box next to the transaction(s) and click the Undo button.

After following the steps above, the transaction will revert to the For Review tab

You can also check out this article for more information about the process and details about categorizing transactions: Categorize online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

However, if the excluded transactions are already deleted, you have to manually upload the transaction as long as you have the bank statement directly from your bank.

Here's how:

  1. Navigate to the Transactions menu.
  2. Click on the Bank transactions, under the Link account drop-down.
  3. Choose Upload from file.

  4. Ensure t hat you save the file as .CSV, then follow the on-screen instructions.

Once done, reconcile them to help with your book balance and track accurately. Refer to this article: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
