Why can't I switch to annual billing? The option is greyed out.

Hi, @emann1. When the system blocks a billing change, it is typically due to one of two reasons: a permissions issue with your current session or the need to update your payment method to accommodate a larger annual charge.

Here are the most likely reasons for that lockout:

  • If you manage multiple companies, double-check that you aren't currently logged into an entity that is already on an annual plan. Additionally, ensure you are logged in as the Primary Admin, as other roles may view billing information but cannot modify it.
  • Even if your bills are on time, the system may require you to re-save or update your payment method specifically for the annual lump sum. If the card on file has a low limit or is near its expiration date, the annual option may be disabled to prevent a high-value transaction failure.
  • If you have a monthly payment currently "In Progress" or "Pending," the system will often lock billing changes until that transaction clears.

Your next step is to refresh your payment method details in the Billing tab. Follow the detailed steps in this article: Manage billing, payment, and subscription info.

Once those account details are verified, you should be all set to make the switch.
