Connecting Syrinx Transfer Tool to Quickbooks Online
Hi all,
I am looking at how to connect the Syrinx (Hire Software) Transfer Tool to QB Online.
I have it setup correctly in Syrinx (I think) but when I press the connect to Quickbooks button I get the message
No Quickbooks Online licence found.
I am logged into Quickbooks Online in Chrome when trying to connect.
All help would be much appreciated.

I appreciate you taking the time to share the details of your concern with us, @RMCPeter.
You might consider looking for a third-party app in QBO that allows this feature. I'll show you how:
- From the left panel, click Apps.
- Go to the Find Apps tab.
- Use the search bar and enter the keyword to look for an app.
- Choose an app from the list.
Otherwise, you can reach out to the Syrinx Support Team to further assist you with your concern and provide better alternatives to connect with QuickBooks Online.
I'll be glad to help you if you have any other QBO-related concerns. Have a good day, and keep safe.

Thank you for your reply @Carneil_C
This is the info I got back from Syrinx
Once installed, you can go into the Quickbooks online tab to connect the tool up with the online application. This then picks up the licence. If you are getting a licence error here then this will, unfortunately, need to be picked up with the Quickbooks team as we have no control over the licence or Quickbooks area here.
My one doesn't seem to be able to pick up the licence.
Any thoughts?

Thanks for getting back to us, @RMCPeter. Let me help provide some troubleshooting steps to connect Syrinx Transfer Tool to QuickBooks Online.
There are times when the browser is full of frequently accessed page resources, thus causing websites like QuickBooks Online (QBO) to act weirdly. Try logging into your QBO account using a private browser. To use a private browser, here's how:
- Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
- Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
- Safari: Command + Option + P
Then try to sync the connection again. If this works, close out the private window and clear the cache on the regular browser. As an alternative, you can use other supported browsers in QuickBooks.
However, if you get the same result, I'd suggest contacting the Syrinx Transfer Tool Customer Support Team. They can provide other steps to get this connected to QuickBooks.
Also, I'll be sharing these articles that will guide you in downloading and matching your bank transactions in QuickBooks:
- Download your bank transactions to QuickBooks
- Categorise and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online
Stay in touch if you have any other concerns or questions. I’ll pop right back on to answer them for you. Have a good one.

Thank you for your help @JoesemM
I have tried all your suggestions, and the Syrinx tool cannot find my company.
I will now have a word again with Syrinx to see where the missing piece in the link is.
Where is my company id file located for the online service so I can make sure it is where it should be for the Syrinx tool to find it?
I will post the solution once I have found it to help anyone in the future.
All the best

Hi there, @RMCPeter. I appreciate you following the steps I've shared above, and let me help you locate your company ID in QuickBooks Online.
There are two ways how to locate your company ID in QuickBooks Online. The first method is to press the following keys on your keyboard. On your Windows press Ctrl + Alt +?. From there, you can copy the company ID and the shortcut keys when accessing the transactions.
You can also go to your billing and subscription page to get your ID from your preferences. Here's how:
- Go to the Gear icon ⚙ and select Account and Settings.
- Click the Billing & Subscription tab.
- Then you can see the company ID at the top of the Billing & Subscription section.
For more details, see this article: Find your QuickBooks Online company ID. It contains screenshots for visual reference.
We wanted to just jump in and add that Syrinix is not an app we have in our apps store as confirmed to be able to be integrated with QuickBooks. Therefore it means that Syrinix themselves would have to deal with any integration issues. They can get in touch with the Intuit developer team at this link.
Also, I'll be sharing these articles that will guide you in setting up your account and how to create transactions in QBO:
- Get started with QuickBooks Online
- Get started and adjust settings after you sign up for QuickBooks Online
Stay in touch with me on how this goes or if you need anything else. I'm always right here to help you. Take good care.
