Adding Simple Start client
In my QB Accountant account, when I click "Add client" I do not have the option for the Simple Start subscription for the client. It only shows Plus, Essentials, and Self Employed. How do I add someone who wants Simple Start?

Hello @befferk:
You cannot. You have to have the client sign up directly at Intuit's site for it (or you do it) and then add yourself as an accountant user to see it listed under your accountant client list.

Is there a reason for this? Doesn't make sense to allow us to do it for the other versions, but not Simple Start.

@befferk: I think the reason is they want to promote the heck out of QBSE (which I have very few customers that would fit that program). Simple Start is just cheap and very, very basic. It does work for a few of my customers.
My guess is Intuit wants to promote Essentials and of course the "big dog" QBO Plus.
But that is pure speculation on my part.

I'm sure you're right. Didn't make sense to me that I can do it with QBSE but not Simple Start. Thanks for confirming that it can't be done.
