Is it possible to add a user to only be able to view customer balances but not be able to edit or change anything?

Account management
Yes, it's possible, @brians-wlc.
You can add your user as a Reports only user. This way, they can only view reports and unable to see actual transactions. Let me guide you on how to achieve this in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account:
- Go to the Gear icon.
- Select Manage Users.
- Click Add user.
- Select Reports only.
- Click Next.
- Enter your new user’s name and email address, then select Save.
Then have your user to open the invitation email and click the Let’s go! link in the email to get started.
You can also read through this article for more information about this process: Add, delete, or change user access.
Let me also add this link that you can use for reference in case you need to change your email, user ID, or password for QBO.
Do let me know if there’s anything else you need help with managing your account and users. I’ll be around ready to help you. Keep safe to care.
